What sizes do the greenscreen® panels come in?
The greenscreen® panels come in both standard and custom sizes. Standard panels are 48" wide
and either 6’, 8’, 10’, 12' or 14’ long. The panels are manufactured using a 2" x 2" grid, so custom
panels are available in even increments of 2" up to 48" in width and 168" in length. All of the
panels are available in both a 2" and 3" thickness. Since the 3" thickness provides more room for
the plant materials and is a bit stronger, most installations use the 3" thickness.
What finishes do the greenscreen® panels come in?
The greenscreen® panels come in 6 standard colors. Green, black, silver and white are available
in a gloss finish and the green and black are also available in a matte, wrinkle finish. Custom
colors are also available, but pricing depends on the exact color needed and quantities. All
of the panels are made from 14 gage galvanized steel wire. All edge trim, clips and mounting
accessories are made from galvanized sheet stock. All panels and accessories receive a
multigrade alkaline wash for cleaning and etching, followed by a thermal set expoxy primer and
the baked on powder color coat.
How are the panels delivered and how much does it cost?
Although the greenscreen® panels
are not very heavy, they are bulky; so typically, the panels
are shipped by truck via common carrier. Although the cost can vary widely depending on the
overall size and weight of the order and the destination zip code, for most projects packaging and
freight add approximately 20% to 30% to the cost of materials. Packaging and freight quotes are
available upon request for specific project requirements and destinations. We ship all orders from
our Fontana, California manufacturing facility.
How long does it take to get an order?
Please call our office for current lead times. Because trim configurations, panel sizes,
accessories, color choice, and quantity is unique to every order, the lead time for production and
delivery of your order will depend on the requirements of your specific order and on seasonal
production variables at our factory. We make every effort to accommodate specific delivery
requirements that may be part of your installation and it is VERY IMPORTANT that you advise
us of your needs so that we can work with you to make your order and delivery as smooth as
possible.
For your specific shipping date information, please request this information from us at time of
order. If your order process takes you several days or weeks to process, the lead time may
change. Shipping usually adds between 1 to 10 working days. Orders are also available by "Will
Call" at our Fontana, California factory location.
What kind of mounting clips and hardware do I need for installing the greenscreen® panels?
The type of mounting accessories depends on the type of installation that you have. We have
several standard mounting clips, spacers and straps for wall hung, freestanding, planter and
custom installations. After reviewing our product literature we suggest you contact our sales office
and confirm your mounting options and specific details with one of our highly trained sales staff.
You can also go to our Downloads section to review and/or download installation details.
Who installs greenscreen® ?
We only supply materials and do not do installation ourselves. On larger jobs, usually the general,
landscape, miscellaneous metals or a fencing contractor installs our products. In general, the
panels are not heavy, so a couple of knowledgeable construction trades people that understand
how to do layout and hold tolerances can easily install the greenscreen® panels. On many of the
smaller residential jobs the homeowners can do their own installation.
I am working on a large project. Can you provide a cost per square foot number I can use for budgeting purposes?
In general, the cost of the product depends on the type of installation and how many of the
panel sizes and mounting details are standard versus custom. Most of the jobs that we do are
either wall hung or freestanding. The main difference is that the wall hung panels use the wall
for support, whereas freestanding projects require a secondary steel or wood frame to mount to.
When most of the panels being used are standard sizes with our standard mounting clips and
details, the cost is usually between $8.00 and $10.00 per sq. ft. for materials only, which includes
the panels, some edge trim and mounting clips. As the project becomes more customized in
sizing and details, the price goes up. When dealing with the Crimp to Curve panels there are
additional variables- number of panels, set up, specific radius, overall height and mounting
details which all affect the final price. Using a budget range between $9.00 and $12.00 per sq.
ft. is usually safe. Any secondary steel or wood frame, packaging and freight would be extra. If
you can use 3" round or square steel posts powder coated to match the panels we can provide
those for between $1.50 and $2.00 per inch, (the height and imbed length is used to calculate
the overall length). Any different size of profile we would need to price per project. We highly
recommend that you contact our sales office early in the design process. We have several highly
trained architects on staff that are available to review drawings and make recommendations on
mounting options and value engineering with sensitivity to design intent.
How much does it cost to install greenscreen®?
The level of complexity of the panel layout, site access (flat or hillside, 1 level versus multiple
levels) and union or non-union labor all directly affect the installation cost. On average, most
of the projects that we are involved in cost between $12 and $20 dollars per square foot for
materials and labor.

What kind of plants should I use with my greenscreen®?
Choosing an appropriate plant material for use on your greenscreen® panels brings up several
overlapping issues. Solar orientation, climate zone, site context, design intent and panels size are
all important considerations when choosing plants. We suggest that you visit our Recommended
Plant List for a more detailed discussion of these issues. We also strongly recommend that you
consult a good nursery, horticultural expert or landscape designer familiar with local growing conditions and discuss how you might adapt or modify our plant list to suit your specific project requirements. A recommended plant list by hardiness zone is available on this site under plants.
Where can I get technical information and CAD details for use on my drawings and specifications?
You can get a general specification sheet and a variety of mounting details for download in our
Downloads section or at www.asla.caddetails.com. This includes new BIM files, that are also
available on the SWEETS network. If you have any further questions, you can always contact our sales office for further assistance.
How much do the greenscreen® panels weigh?
The actual greenscreen® panel by itself weighs .66 lbs. / sq. ft. Either of the two optional edge
trims, if any is being used, adds ±.5 lbs. / linear ft. Our experience has shown that the panels with fully matured vines, on a cold wet day would weigh approximately 3-4 lbs. / sq. ft.
Where can I see your greenscreen® panels installed?
There are thousands of greenscreen® projects installed across the country. You can go to our
Downloads section and view or print Projects in a PDF format, located throughout the world.
Contact our office or a regional representative for specific project types and details of locations.
